Praline Cake

Ingredients:
Cake
1 box Duncan Hines Super Moist Cake Mix
Filling and Topping
1 large can of Evaporated Milk
2 cups Granulated Sugar
3 cups chopped pecans
1 TSP Vanilla
Instructions:
Prepare the cake according to the direction on the Duncan Hines Cake Mix box.
Divide the cake mix evenly into 3 greased and floured round baking cake pans.
Bake according to directions in three layers. Set aside to cook when it is cooked.
In 4 quart saucepan, combine sugar and milk. Cook on medium-high heat.
Let the sugar dissolve completely.
Add pecans and cook until the mixture becomes thick.
To check for the correct consistency, pour a small amount into a cup of cold water.
If the mixture forms a soft ball, it is done. If not continue cooking, repeating the test until it forms the soft ball.
Turn off the heat when the consistency is as described.
Stir in vanilla.
Put aside and let cool.
Use as a filling between the layers and as cake covering.
