Mid-Summer Update

Hello Readers,

I hope y’all are having a wonderful summer. I am. It has been so exciting for me to meet so many readers in person, on blog-sites, on Twitter and on Facebook.

As many of ya’ll know, I have been to the RT Convention in New Orleans in May and to RomCon in Denver in June. Both conventions were focused on book-lovers. I got to chat, play games and just hang out with so many of you…and oh, take a lot of photos with you, too! You can see many of those photos in my photo gallery on my website in the “For Fun” drop-down menu. It is forever changing, so come back to visit the photo gallery often. I think you will enjoy it and who knows, you may see a photo or two or three of someone you know there…maybe it will be a favorite author or maybe it will be YOU!

Although I am busy writing the next Second Chance Novel set at Sugar Mill Plantation(where ELLI was set), I am planning to attend other conferences and events in July and beyond. I will keep you posted on where I will be signing books, speaking or making an appeareance in the Events section in the For Fun drop down menu on this website. Coming up next is a book signing on July 19th in Galliano, Louisiana at a darling boutique in Cajun country called Le magasin du bayou. I will be there authographing Elli, a Second Chance Novel and I will have door prizes to raffle, too! We will pass a good time, chér!

Then I’m off to the Romance Writers’ of America Conference in San Antonio July 23rd – 26th. I will be signing books at the Readers’ for Life Literacy autographing from 5:30-7:30 pm on Wednesday July 23rd and at the Indie Book signing on Thursday afternoon, July 24th. In August, I will be participating in the Heather Graham’s Writers’ for New Orleans Conference August 29th-31st at the historical Hotel Monteleone. It is a wonderful event in the Big Easy. I hope you can join us.

If we can’t meet in person, don’t forget to join me on Facebook. I enjoy chatting with ya’ll there. We can discuss the latest coffee mug philosophy that I post. Or we can share our photos in my special FB segment titled “Around Me, Around You.” This is where I post a photo of what’s around me and you do the same. It’s a lot of fun! Here are some of the photos that have been posted for #AroundMeAroundYou. There are many more on my Facebook page…check it out. While you are there, say hello and share a photo or two of what’s around YOU! Geez, I really do love photos!

Cancer Survivors Month

Finally, we have wrapped up the month of June as Cancer Survivors Month. I want to acknowledge and salute all of the cancer survivors living today. I think it is good to celebrate life every month and every day. As the incidence of cancer across the world rises, the survival rates improve. That’s due to better screening and more effective therapies. As a result, more and more people are living with a history of cancer. In America, 14 million people are survivors of cancer. Isn’t that wonderful?! Even with that hopeful news, we must remember that there are issues that cancer survivors live with including the physical effects of treatment, the emotional scars that remain, the fear of recurrence, and the financial burdens that result from facing a life-threatening illness. So, be hopeful, celebrate life and continue to support survivors and their families.

Barbara Vey Reader Appreciation Luncheon

On that note, I want to give a shout-out to Barbara Vey! She has named the American Cancer Society as the event charity for her annual Barbara Vey Reader Appreciation Luncheon on April 25, 2015. I am very honored and happy, happy, happy to be one of the 60 authors participating in this prestigious event. If you are interested in attending the fun and exciting luncheon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ACT FAST. It has sold out early every year. Tickets are on sale now!

I have so much more to chat about, but my time is up. We’ll talk later her on my website or Facebook or Instagram, or Twitter. Stay in touch.

May you always have hope, love, and second chances.

—Tina

P.S. Don’t forget to leave a review after you’ve read ELLI. It’s really important that you do. Thanks.
